Recently a witness came forward with a detailed account and description that verified Madeleine Leonard was told what happened to her husband, John Leonard, Sr. and why he was murdered. Madeleine said she was going to the Police after finding out what happened to John Leonard. Because of this, she was lured out and killed in Mt. Pocono.

When I was a kid, The Inn at Buck Hill Falls was a huge part of the community. A lot of kids got part time jobs there. Mine, for a few years, was to be an usher at the Inn movie theater on the lower level. It was huge for a community the size of Barrett Township but other events were also held there. I graduated from high school on its stage. They showed first run films all year long.

Our team of local craftsmen have been collaborating with clients and architects across the Pocono Mountains since 1994. Located in the heart of the Poconos, we’re happy to serve residents of Buck Hill, Skytop, Pocono Manor, Lake Naomi, Stroudsburg, and beyond! Whether it’s a new home, restoration and remodel, or commercial space, our team of career carpenters and experienced project supervisors bring the highest level of detail and customer satisfaction to every project.

Barrett Township consists of the five villages of Cresco, Mountainhome, Canadensis, Buck Hill Falls, and Skytop. One of the many enjoyable features of the township is the Brodhead Creek, a 22-mile-long renowned trout-fishing destination, meandering through lush valleys and wooded areas, drawing anglers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. History enthusiasts might enjoy perusing the remnants of what was once an opulent resort dating back to the late 19th century, the former Buck Hill Inn. The inn was demolished in 2017, but one room that was the former bowling alley in the resort still stands and is being used to house the historical artifacts for public showing. While Barrett Township possesses a modest commercial presence, such as local markets and cafes, lush landscapes and pieces of its past such as those found in the Buck Hill Inn display create a most indelible impression.
