For all who are concerned about losing the Recycling Center in Barrett:

Original Article:

Now you get to do the work that China won’t.

The huge dirty secret of recycling was also one of the world’s worst polluters.

Every branch of government from Washington D.C. to your local town council had spent a fortune convincing people that recycling is a magical process that turns your old pizza boxes into new pizza boxes while creating those imaginary “green jobs” in the community. The reality was a lot dirtier.

All of America’s industries, including trash sorting, had been outsourced to China.

And recycling is just a fancy lefty way of saying "trash." All that recycling, which children in progressive communities are taught to sort as the closest thing to a religious ritual, was really being dumped by the ton on dirty ships and sent over to China. We weren’t recycling it. The Chinese were.

But now China is banning foreign recycling because it’s bad for the environment.

To Whom it may Concern:
Based on the provided chat transcript (PTD Tech Support), please beware that using This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. email accounts for sensitive communication is not advised. When you call in to PenTeleData (the internet provider for Blue Ridge Cable customers), the technician asks for your account number, phone number, email address, or other means of searching for your account in their system. From that screen, the admin is able to see your email account password in plain text. Therefore, any tech PTD support agent is able to log in and access your inbox - if they so choose - because it’s on the honor system.

This means that essentially ANY email service is going to be a better choice than PTD: even Gmail. If you own a domain name for your business or organization, you should be using an email address like This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., anyways. That generally means your email is running through your hosting company, so the passwords SHOULD be encrypted, there, too… as long as you’ve chosen a reputable host.

(from the Monroe County Comprehensive Plan Update - December 2014)

"...As the County’s prime agricultural soils become increasingly scarce, the importance of protecting the future value of farmland as a food producing resource for generations of Monroe County citizens cannot be overemphasized. (page 64)

Failure to act will surely mean the devastating loss of a continual source of food, economic productivity, environmental and cultural qualities and the heritage of one of Monroe County’s prime assets. (page 65)

Brown Announces There Ought to be a Law Student Contest Winner

The flaw in Rosemary Brown's thinking is creating more laws, more regulations, will help things. Bicycles are already federally required to be sold with reflectors. Adding an overlapping law will not keep cyclists safe. It would only ensure that the politicians and attorneys remain in business.

Recently, Donald made a splash by addressing this issue head-on:
Trump wants to scrap two regulations for each new one adopted

Questions - To Rosemary Brown:

Where do we draw the line with bicycle safety?
Should we force cyclists to obtain a permit or license?
Should we require them to have insurance?
Annual bicycle safety inspections?

Since the Eric Frein news has now been spanning almost 3 years, we wanted to provide a quick recap of recent findings.

In 2015, the PSP released a "redacted" After Action Report." (see attachments below)  The report mentions by name the woman dispatch worker who was present the night of the shootings at the barracks in Blooming Grove.  The image included with this article is a "thumbnail view" of the PSP After Action report.  Note how many pages have been redacted!

redacted

Fast-forward to March 2017, and this same girl was allegedly RAPED by the officers that work at the barracks.  They attempted to silence her by having her committed to a psychiatric hospital.

Were she and Eric dating?  Is there a love triangle involved?  Did Eric know about the alleged rape prior to the shooting in September 2014?

Fellow Barrett Resident,

In July 2015, the Barrett Township Police Department merged with Pocono Regional.  Since then, have been numerous “unofficial” (unreported) break-ins, vandalism, and thefts.  There have also been two bank robberies:

  • In November 2015, the ESSA bank on Route 390 was robbed. (link)
  • In January 2017, the NBT Bank on Route 390 was robbed. (link)

I wanted to share some thoughts and ideas, suggestions and pointers, so that the next time one of our (three!) banks is held up, the citizens know what they can do:
