There has been a lot of interest in the "Peace and Good Order" ordinance in Barrett Township. The ordinance will be voted on TONIGHT, Wednesday Aug. 14 at the Supervisor's meeting, which begins at 5:30 PM at the BARC.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE   TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Barrett Township intends to consider adopting a proposed ordinance at its regular meeting on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, beginning at 5:30 P.M., at the Barrett Administrative and Recreational Complex, 1200 Route 390, Cresco, PA 18326. If approved, the proposed ordinance would amend Part II (General Legislation) of the Barrett Township Code of Ordinances to add a new chapter 370 entitled “Peace and Good Order,” which contains regulations prohibiting disturbances of the peace. At the meeting, the Supervisors will listen to comments by members of the public concerning the proposed ordinance.
