Jim is survived by a son, James Walsh and fiancée Madison Flamme; two daughters, Jule and Madeline Walsh; a brother, David Walsh; two sisters, Janice Walsh and Sarah Walsh-Drob; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Bond.
If you knew Jim, you knew he liked to fish, specifically for small-mouth bass. He was a teacher, helping coach his children's sports teams, and was Assistant Scoutmaster for his son's Boy Scout Troop, Troop 89 of Barrett Township. His children recall many mornings being driven into school listening & discussing NPR, contract laws, and a plethora of other diverse subjects. Even as his neurological condition worsened, he used it to help Physical Therapy students & other medical professionals understand Spinocerebellar Ataxia. Jim was curious and loved to learn, there wasn't a museum he didn't want to visit. For 20 years the family vacationed in Williamsburg, VA, but it was never boring. Hiking, biking, canoeing, all activities he enjoyed doing w/ family and friends.
