Irving Berlin fans can enjoy a 90-minute cabaret based on his works this month at two venues in the Poconos.
Four vocalists will perform “A White Christmas Cabaret” twice at the Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake and once at the Tennis Tea at Buck Hill Falls.

“The gingerbread hotel at Skytop Lodge in Skytop, Pennsylvania, measures 19 ft. wide by 12 ft. deep and reaches a height of 11 ft. from its base. Production on the gingerbread hotel began in early August and the lodge staff set to work assembling the structure the week of Halloween. Once the frame was erected, the entire bakery team labored to attach the gingerbread and then the candy decorations.”

PUBLIC NOTICE INTENTION TO ADOPT PROPOSED BUDGET FOR BARRETT TOWNSHIP THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BARRETT TOWNSHIP, pursuant to Section 3202 of the Second Class Township, hereby gives public notice that the proposed budget for Barrett Township for fiscal year 2022 is available for public inspection at the Barrett Township Municipal Building, 993 Route 390, Cresco, Pennsylvania 18326, during regular business hours. If there are no changes to the proposed budget, the Board intends to adopt the proposed budget at the regular meeting on December 22, 2021, at 8 a.m. Any and all interested persons are invited to inspect the proposed budget, to attend the regular meeting where adoption of the budget shall be considered, and to offer such comments in relation to the proposed budget as they may desire. Former PMSD Custodian Under Investigation After Admitting he Arranged to Meet Underage Boy for Sex
STROUDSBURG – Stroud Area Regional Police are investigating Roger Umphrey, 60, of East Stroudsburg, after the former custodian for the Pocono Mountain School District was recorded on videotape admitting that he had arranged to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex.

Oliver Jonhson Obituary (1948 - 2021) - Cresco, PA
Oliver B. Johnson Jr., 72, of Cresco, died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at home. He was the loving husband of Marianna M. (Blunt) Johnson, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of Oliver B. Johnson Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida and the late Lillian (Haywood) James.
Completely self-taught, Oliver started drawing when he received encouragement and an art set from his beloved grandfather as young boy. His turning point came in 1977 when he joined Nichiren Buddhism and in the same year, he was featured in a Bedford-Stuyvesant art show in Brooklyn, whereupon his fame sky-rocketed. Now considered one of the greatest artists of our time, his works are included in major art collections in the United States and Europe.
