Monday - Thursday   10:00 AM to 8:00 PMFriday and Saturday   10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Barrett Paradise Friendly Library is located at the intersection of Route 390 and Sand Spring Drive in Cresco. Our Mission: To strengthen our community, the library connects people with ideas, experiences and each other, and inspires them to dream and succeed as lifelong learners.
General Meetings on the third Friday of each month are at 7:00PM. The Barrett Township Historical Society would like to announce that they now have available for sale their annual Calendar.  The price of the calendars is $6.00.  They can be purchased at Theo. B. Price Country Store ~ Route 390 in Cresco or the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library ~ also located on Route 390 in Cresco.
Canadensis Moravian Church building built 1955, sits along the Brodhead Creek in Canadensis, Pa. The Moravian congregation dissolved as of October 1, 2017
Please do not leave clothes or food on the porch of the CAME building.  Food can be dropped off at your local post office.
The Cresco Station Museum houses displays, artifacts and research material indigenous to the Barrett Township area, sponsors art shows the second Sunday of each month from 1-4 pm, and holds musical programs the fourth Sunday (June to September) from 1-4 pm. Hours of Operation: Open Memorial Day to October 12:Sundays 1pm to 4pmDuring July & August:Wednesdays & Saturdays 1pm to 4pm
The Little Green Bookshop, a non-profit organization located at 1233 Rt. 390 in Mountainhome, sells new and used books, offers a variety of educational and artistic programs and helps to support the cultural arts in and around Barrett Township. December 9th…”Christmas Gifts for Methodist Children’s Home” should be placed under the Sunday School Christmas Tree by Sunday, December 9th.  New, unwrapped gifts like: books, games, puzzles, craft supplies, sports equipment, toy trains, trucks, cars, jewelry, beauty & grooming items, Legos, action figures, gift cards (for Target, K-Mart, Wal-mart or Best Buy).  Donations of wrapping paper and scotch tape are also welcome.  Select an envelope from the poster in the sanctuary or contact the church…

Pocono Plateau is a year-round Christian Camp and Retreat center located on 750 acres of forest in the Pocono Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania. From June through August, week-long summer camp programs are available for children and youth, facilities are available for weekend retreats during the non-summer months, and several staff-programmed retreats are scheduled throughout the year. School groups may schedule one to five day field trips during the fall and spring.

The Sheep Shed Project of Women’s Resources of Monroe County provides gently used furniture to families in transition. The Sheep Shed serves victims of domestic and sexual violence by filling their new homes with furniture and creating a comfortable healing space for families in need.
